When you are shopping for a new car, your best bet is going to be one of the cars with good gas mileage. Anymore, cars with good gas mileage are just as cool and status-giving as expensive sports cars or cars with lots of bells and whistles attached to them. These days, everybody wants to get more than twenty miles to the gallon.
Obviously the best cars with good gas mileage are going to be the hybrid cars. Hybrid cars can get upwards of sixty miles per gallon depending on the type of hybrid car it is. Those are often the luxury hybrid cars, though and they can be hard to come by.
The 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid as one of the cars with good gas mileage. This car gets an average of forty two miles per gallon. Typically it gets forty miles per gallon when it is driving in the city and forty five miles per gallon when it is driving on the highway. Typically, this car ends up costing less than one dollar and eighty cents to drive twenty five miles. It is estimated that this car will consume eight barrels of gasoline each year but only has a carbon footprint of 4.4. It has one of the best air pollution scores given by the EPA.
If an SUV is more your style, you will be very happy with the 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid FWD. This is another one of the cars with good gas mileage. This vehicle gets thirty four miles per gallon when driving in the city and thirty miles per gallon when driving on the highway. It's average mile per gallon rating falls between thirty and thirty two. Driving this SUV for twenty five miles will probably end up costing just not quite two and a half dollars. Drivers of this car will probably end up using almost eleven barrels of gasoline each year, but for an SUV its rating is pretty good. There aren't many SUVs out there that will get more than four hundred miles per tank of gas.
The 2008 Audi TT Coupe gets one of the best cars with good gas mileage. Audis are known for their sportiness and while the gas mileage on this car isn't sublime, it isn't very bad either especially for a sports car. This car gets twenty three miles per gallon when driving in the city and thirty one miles per gallon when driving on the highway. Driving twenty five miles will cost somewhere around three dollars and the car usually get almost three hundred and forty miles per tank of gas. This car will probably use around thirteen barrels of fuel in one year and has a carbon footprint of just over seven.
Finding cars with good gas mileage is becoming an ever growing necessity. Cars with good gas mileage are the best way to make sure that you aren't turning over your paycheck to the local gas station every week.
Cars That Run on Water Tip #1
No matter what anybody tells you, there is not yet a water powered car in production. That is an urban myth that reached its peak with Stanley Meyer who claimed that he drove one hundred miles using only four ounces of water (he was later convicted of fraud). The water powered engine hasn't even been invented yet. Scientists are still trying to figure out if it is even possible. |
Cars That Run on Water Tip #2
Many major car manufacturers are embracing the idea of the hydrogen car. BMW hopes to release a hydrogen car to the public by 2008 (or 2010 at the latest) and other manufacturers like Toyota are also making plans to release hydrogen car lines. Of course the debate over using hydrogen in cars is still raging and nothing has been settled yet. |
Cars That Run on Water Tip #3
While both a water based engine and a hydrogen engine will do wonders for fuel emissions and the environment, one of the major reasons people want them is to improve their fuel mileage. Of course, gas mileage can be improved right now. You can improve your gas mileage drastically just by driving sensibly and making sure your car is maintained properly. |
